A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) — taught us how to fight even when sleep becomes the enemy and fear follows us into places where no one can protect us.
War Games (1983) — turned our fear into bits and bytes, taking the form of curiosity gone too far when losing a game means the end of the world is just a keystroke away.
