Comparisons are almost inevitable when a child of a superstar begins exploring a public career.

She has spent years building her reputation.
She has experienced successes and setbacks.
She has learned how to perform under pressure.
Anyone entering the same field would naturally be compared with her.
But comparisons can be unfair.
A child shouldn’t be expected to reproduce a parent’s career.
Every generation operates under different circumstances.
The entertainment industry itself changes.
Technology changes.
Audience expectations change.
Social media changes the way celebrities communicate.
A young person may therefore build a career that looks completely different from the one their parent built.
That doesn’t make the career less meaningful.
