Call emergency services right away or get to a hospital as fast as possible. Antivenom is the only effective treatment for serious snakebites, and delays can be dangerous.

Remove tight items like rings, watches, or clothing before swelling begins. Then gently clean the wound and cover it with a loose, clean bandage.

Keep the bitten area still. If possible, use a splint or support to limit movement. The goal is to slow the spread of venom until medical help arrives.
