At first, the situation seems almost impossible. Running toward the snake would obviously be dangerous, while moving toward the crocodile-filled lake would create another serious risk. The lion presents yet another obstacle, making the puzzle seem to have no reasonable solution.
The key, however, is not to panic or make a sudden move. Instead, the man needs to observe what is happening around him and wait for the right opportunity. The animals may not remain in the same positions forever, and their natural behavior can create an unexpected opening.
Eventually, the lion becomes thirsty and heads toward the lake for a drink. This changes the situation. The crocodiles become distracted by the lion’s presence, creating a brief opportunity for the man to move away from the immediate danger.
