A former Tennessee police officer resigned from the Metro Nashville Police Department after an internal investigation concluded she engaged in an inappropriate relationship with another officer while assigned as a school resource officer, according to records obtained by local media.
The investigation, first reported by WKRN, alleges former officer Lisa Vidrios admitted to having an on-duty relationship with a fellow officer on multiple occasions during May 2025. Investigators said several of the alleged encounters took place inside Madison Middle School while classes and school staff were present elsewhere in the building.
According to the Office of Professional Accountability report, investigators recovered videos from Vidrios’ cellphone that allegedly showed intimate encounters inside her office at the school. The report states that voices of staff members could be heard outside the office while students remained inside the building, raising serious concerns about the alleged conduct.
Investigators also alleged that the relationship extended beyond the school campus. The report claims the pair recorded additional encounters inside the other officer’s marked police vehicle while both were on duty. One of those incidents reportedly occurred in the parking lot of a vacant hospital.
Vidrios, a former U.S. Marine who served approximately nine years before entering law enforcement, joined the Metro Nashville Police Department after relocating from California with her husband, who also became a Nashville police officer. The couple graduated together from the department’s police academy in 2022 and were highlighted by the agency in promotional materials celebrating their family’s move to Tennessee.
In one department video produced after graduation, Vidrios spoke proudly about beginning a new chapter alongside her husband and raising their three children while serving the Nashville community.
According to the investigative report, the alleged relationship came to light during May 2025, the same month Vidrios told investigators it began.
Metro Nashville Police officials reportedly removed both officers from duty and revoked their department access on May 26 after learning of the allegations.
As part of the department’s disciplinary process, Vidrios agreed to a pre-investigative settlement involving alleged policy violations, including conduct unbecoming of an officer and engaging in inappropriate sexual activity while on duty, according to the report.
The agreement called for a 30-day suspension, after which Vidrios resigned from the department.
The second officer, whose identity was not released in the report, had reportedly served with Metro Nashville Police for 18 years and was most recently assigned to the tactical operations division.
The report states investigators were unable to interview him because he was granted an injured-on-duty pension in February 2026 while the investigation remained open.
Vidrios’ husband was not identified in the investigative records.
WKRN reported that attempts to obtain comment from Vidrios were unsuccessful. The Office of Professional Accountability also did not immediately respond to requests for additional comment regarding the finding
