If you’re viewing the puzzle on a phone or computer, move farther away from the screen.
The smaller details may become less distracting, allowing an unusual feature to stand out.
Squint Slightly
This reduces some of the fine detail and lets you focus on the larger shapes and patterns.
Scan From Left to Right
Instead of staring at the center, deliberately inspect each section of the image.
Look at the foreground.
Then the middle ground.
Then the background.
Question Everything
Don’t assume that something is correct just because it looks familiar.
That’s the whole trick!

At first, your eyes simply register a man walking with his dog.
But once you start paying attention to the trail left behind, the scene becomes much harder to accept as completely ordinary.
And that’s what makes the puzzle work.

It’s hiding inside something your brain initially treats as ordinary background detail.
