But before you write off your garment, know that there are ways to reduce the mark\u2014or even turn the accident into a creative opportunity.<\/p>\n
Bleach isn\u2019t a typical stain: it removes color from the fabric by stripping away the pigment. In other words, the color is gone. That\u2019s why repeated washing doesn\u2019t help. The goal isn\u2019t to \u201cremove\u201d the stain, but to reduce its appearance or visually rebalance the surrounding color.<\/p>\n
A commonly mentioned method is to use clear alcohol (such as vodka or gin) to help even out the discolored area.<\/p>\n

Rinse the stained area under cold or lukewarm running water for at least 2 minutes, gently massaging the fabric between your fingers to remove any trace of bleach.
Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing.<\/p>\n
Pour\u00a05 ml of clear alcohol<\/strong>\u00a0(about 1 teaspoon) into a small container.
Use a cotton pad or cotton ball.<\/p>\n
Soak the cotton with\u00a02\u20133 ml of alcohol maximum<\/strong>\u00a0(it should be damp, not dripping).
Gently dab the discolored area for\u00a030\u201360 seconds<\/strong>, without rubbing.<\/p>\n
Let it sit for\u00a02 minutes<\/strong>, then rinse immediately with clean water for\u00a01 minute<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
You can repeat the process\u00a0only once<\/strong>, again using\u00a02\u20133 ml of alcohol<\/strong>, if the stain has faded but not enough.w<\/p>\n
